Events Quick-Step wins House Beautiful Award

Quick-Step is celebrating after beating the competition and winning the top accolade in the Best Flooring category at the House Beautiful awards 2012, held at London’s prestigious Science Museum.

Winning the gold award for the sophisticated range of Eligna Wide laminate planks that have inspired designers and homeowners alike since their launch earlier this year, Quick-Step received a trophy of recognition that will take pride of place in its awards cabinet alongside previous years’ House Beautiful plaques.

Put through its paces by the team of House Beautiful awards judges, made up of design experts and household names, including Mary Berry, Tommy Walsh and Edd Kimber, the Eligna Wide collection is a very deserved winner.

“Gaining recognition from the House Beautiful team for our brand new Eligna Wide range of planks is the icing on the cake for us after a very successful year,” enthuses Philip Caryn, international communications and sponsorship manager, Quick-Step. “The flooring category this year had a number of strong contenders, with a whole variety of floorcovering types, so this award is a real achievement for us and demonstrates that House Beautiful acknowledge our commitment to continually producing innovative and exciting flooring designs.”

Eligna planks have smooth edges for an elegant look. With a range of stunning designs, including the distressed Reclaimed Chestnut Natural planks, Eligna Wide delivers an on-trend look for interior spaces.

Held at the Science Museum on the 8th November, the House Beautiful Awards were attended by a number of industry insiders.
